Renée J. Bordeaux is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist and Certified Personal Trainer with the American Council on Exercise. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Connecticut. Renée received a scholarship award for excellence in nutrition practice and was named New England scholar.
Renée has been in practice since 1997. She has worked for the UConn Dept of Nutritional Sciences, New Britain General Hospital’s "Fit Kids" program, WIC (Women, Infants and Children), Community Health Center and the Department of Navy Health Promotions. In 2007 Renée opened her private practice office in West Hartford, CT. She also works per diem for the Institute of Living Eating Disorders Program.Each day she draws upon her many years of experience and combines that with new knowledge to remain up to date with the most current information to share with her patients.
As a teenager, Renée was inspired by the quote “If you don’t take care of your body, where are you going to live?” She believes that good, wholesome food is the very foundation of a healthy body and mind.She enjoys working with adults and children and emphasizes family centered nutrition and physical activity. She pairs her nutrition therapy plans with personalized fitness programs to compliment lifestyle needs. Renée blends a strong background in cognitive behavioral and motivational principals to help you meet your wellness goals.
